A really eerie photo showing a ghostly figure has emerged on the internet and it has freaked many people out already.

William Robinson, a grandfather from Lancashire, England, has been left spooked after on old family photograph he restored appeared to show the ghostly figure of the subject’s dead wife.

The Sun UK reports that William, a 66-year-old man, was handed the old glass negative and decided to get it professionally restored to recover the photograph.

But when he got it back, he was stunned to see a black and white image of a seated Edwardian gentleman – with the ghostly head of a woman hovering above him.

William has now turned detective to track down the origin of the creepy photo after his family were unable to identify the man.

He believes the ghostly figure is the late wife of family friend Frederick C. Sculthorp, who wrote a book about spirits.

According to The Sun UK, the grandad of three said: “I remember my mother, Doris Robinson, had an old, physical copy of the photograph when I younger and it had the figure of a woman in the background on that.

“But I know that the image originally came from her parents – my grandparents.

“I’ve done a little digging myself and a gentleman called Frederick C. Sculthorp had a newsagents at the end of my grandparents’ road.

“He wrote a book called Excursions into the Spirit World and had a wife called Doris Bright who died in her 30s.

“I think that image might have come from Fred. It might even be Fred. I know that my grandparents, Alfred and Minnie George, used his shop regularly and were quite good friends.

“If we can get this image out to a greater audience, it may be that somebody recognises the gentleman in the picture.”

The retired retail worker said his family believes the man in the photo had been pictured alone, but when it was developed the spooky figure appeared.

He said: “When I asked photographer Steve Pendrill to restore it, he was really fascinated.

“Steve told me that the graining around the ghostly figure is the same as the graining around the gentleman and, therefore didn’t think that figure could have been added after.

“He didn’t think it was a fake.”

Restorer Steve Pendrill, a former newspaper snapper, said this image recovery was particularly unusual in its content.

He said: “I get asked to digitally restore customers’ creased or damaged old photos quite often as part of my work, but never before had I been asked to restore a photo which included a ghost.

“It has certainly become a talking point – it was fascinating, if a little unnerving, especially as the photo looked quite genuine to me.”

Doctors in India claim to have removed one of the world’s biggest hairballs from the stomach of a girl addicted to eating her own hair . The giant one-metre-long hairball, which weighed 2.5lbs, was surgically removed from an 18-year-old. Doctors in Kashmir removed the growth from the teenager’s stomach after she arrived at hospital complaining of discomfort and a severe abdominal pain.

The doctors said the hairball was entangled to the intestines – which had left her unable to eat or even drink water.

Dr Iqbal Saleem, who led the team of surgeons which carried out the procedure, said: “The hairball must have been there for at least two years.

“We removed the entire bunch of hair through laparoscopic surgery.

“We used laparoscopy so that the girl was not left with any scars around her abdomen. It was the biggest hairball removed without a general surgery.”

The family of the girl revealed that she was addicted to eating hair but no one found out until she complained of a severe stomach ache.

The hair chewing condition known as Rapunzel syndrome, is a rare condition in which a hairball (called a trichobezoar) is found in the stomach, with its tail in the colon.

Despite successful surgery, doctors are worried the girl might start eating hair again.

Residents of a community were left in total shock after catching rats with cat faces in South Africa.

Residents of Lethabong, Rustenburg, North West area of South Africa were startled after catching rats with cat faces. Before long, crowds gathered to catch a glimpse of the animals.

No one knows where these creatures come from or how they got into the house, Daily Sun ZA reports.






The family first realised there was something strange going on when they heard strange noises behind the grocery cupboard.

Family members thought they may have fallen from the ceiling and then got trapped behind the grocery cupboard. They called the local pastor, who used a grinding machine to take them out.

The cops were called, but they could not do anything and left.

SAPS spokesman in the North West Brigadier Sabata Mokgwabone said this was an issue for the SPCA.

The family said the animal unit from Rustenburg came and told them that they were not supposed to kill the creatures. By that time four of them had already been killed, while two others were taken away and others were burned. The family said the animal unit told them the animals were not known and they needed blood samples to conduct tests to find out what they are.

The Rustenburg SPCA said the organisation is concerned that people panic and kill animals. They believe the creatures could be a special kind of cat breed.

“People must remain calm and call the SPCA emergency number. Killing a creature in an inhumane way could lead to prosecution. Just don’t do anything to the animal,” said Carla van den Berg, inspector at the Rustenburg SPCA.

A village has been discovered in Indonesia where the dead are not buried but roasted over an open fire and kept as mummies for a long time.

Daily Star UK reports that the “Dani people from the central highlands of western New Guinea, Indonesia, have been able to preserve their dead for centuries with smoke”.
Though it reports that the technique is no longer in use, a tribe in Wogi – a village close to the regional capital, Wamena – has held on to a number of mummies which it refused to bury.

According to tradition in that region, smoking someone over a fire for weeks, or even months, is the ultimate show of respect for the deceased in Dani culture.
In recent years, this bizarre culture has brought tourists to this isolated part of Indonesia, more than 2,000 miles from the capital, Jakarta.
Daily Star UK reports that “Visitors can also get a glimpse of Dani traditions at Baliem Valley Festival, an annual event with mock battles between tribes.”
The Dani tribe was first encountered by explorers in 1909, when they played host to a Dutch expedition in one village for several nights. One part of the tribe, the Grand Valley Dani, remained undiscovered until 1938 when an American spotted them from a plane.

Dotty and Zee ,two Humboldt penguins that reside at Bremerhaven Zoo in Germany have been completely inseparable for over a decade.

At first, the  zoo did not yet realise both Dotty and Zee were male penguins.

However, after a few years of dedicated partnership the pair had a DNA test.In 2005 the test revealed their gender,and why they hadn't started a family.

Dotty and Zee are not the only gay couple in the zoo either. Of the 10 penguin pairs at the zoo, three are gay male couples.

This is one of the most endangered species we have in the world we have maybe only 2000 of the species left.”The three gay couples stayed together showing us that they are really strong relationships,” the vet added.

Dotty and Zee have built a nest every year, a clear indication that they wanted to start a family.

2009 was their lucky year as they were gifted an egg that was rejected by it’s mother.

The penguins took on the shared responsibility of incubating the egg and acted like good fathers by sharing the feeding work and doing everything necessary for the baby.

Doctors performed a four-hour operation on Grace that involved removing the tumor and replacing her lower jaw with titanium plates, leaving her situation immeasurably improved, Huff Post UK reports.
Dr. Gary Parker, the surgeon who operated on Grace says after a six-month recovery period, she will be able to get artificial teeth that will help with her chewing.

Mr Haji, 80, says he chose this way of life after going through some emotional setbacks in his youth and since then - perhaps unsurprisingly - he has become a bit isolated.

His home is in Dejgah village in the southern province of Fars in Iran where, once, a group of young men offered to give him a shower - but luckily he managed to escape.

At night he either sleeps in a hole in the ground, which is quite like a grave, or in an open brick shack which concerned locals built for him.

As well as cleanliness, Mr Haji also has an aversion to clean food and drink. He much prefers the rotten meat of dead animals and five litres of water a day from a rusty oil can.

But don't think Mr Haji doesn't look after himself - when he wants to look his best he uses car mirrors for grooming, The Tehran Times reported.

And, when he needs a haircut, he simply burns his locks in a fire.

As for clothing, he wears rags and, in the winter, a war helmet to ward off the cold .

The last record of longest time going without showers belonged to a 66-year-old Indian man, Kailash Singh, who had not taken a bath over 38 years

MYSTERY!! This Ship Reappears 90 Years After Going Missing From Bermuda Triangle? (Photos)

The Cuban authorities spotted the ship for the first time on May 16, near a restricted military zone, west of Havana. They made many unsuccessful attempts to communicate with the crew, and finally mobilized three patrol boats to intercept it.



When they reached it, they were surprised to find that the ship was actually a nearly 100-year old steamer identified as the Cotopaxi, a name famously associated with the legend of the Bermuda Triangle. There was no one on board and the ship seemed to have been abandoned for decades, suggesting that this could actually be the tramp freighter that disappeared in 1925.
An exhaustive search of the ship led to the discovery of the captain’s logbook. It was, indeed, associated with the Clinchfield Navigation Company, the owners of the SS Cotopaxi, but hasn’t brought any clue concerning what happened to the ship over the last 90 years.

Cuban expert, Rodolfo Salvador Cruz, believes that the captain’s logbook is authentic. This document is full of precious information concerning the life of the crew before the ship’s disappearance, but the entries stop suddenly on December 1, 1925.

On 29 November 1925, the SS Cotopaxi departed Charleston, South Carolina, and headed towards Havana, Cuba. The ship had a crew of 32 men, under the command of Captain W. J. Meyer, and was carrying a cargo of 2340 tons of coal. It was reported missing two days later, and was unheard of for almost 90 years.
The Vice President of Council of Ministers, General Abelardo Colomé, announced that the Cuban authorities were going to conduct a thorough investigation to elucidate the mystery of the ship’s disappearance and reappearance.
“It is very important for us to understand what happened”  says General Colomé. “Such incidents could be really bad for our economy, so  want to make sure that this kind of disappearance doesn’t happen again. The time has come to solve the mystery of the Bermuda Triangle, once and for all.”

The Bermuda Triangle is a loosely defined region covering the area between Miami, Puerto Rico and Bermuda, where dozens of ships and planes have disappeared under mysterious circumstances.

Popular culture has attributed many of the disappearances to paranormal and supernatural phenomena, or to the activity of extraterrestrial beings.  One explanation, even pins the blame on leftover technology from the mythical lost continent of Atlantis.
Despite the popularity of all these strange theories, most scientists don’t even recognize the existence of the Bermuda Triangle, and blame human mistakes and natural phenomena for the disappearances.
The mysterious reappearance of the SS Cotopaxi has, however, already generated a lot of interest in the scientific community and could push some experts to change their mind on the subject.
