This is one unbelievable rare condition known as fetus-in-fetu, occurring in only about 1 in every 500,000 births.
According to the case study published in the Hong Kong Medical Journal this month, this happens when a partially developed fetus becomes incorporated into a normally developing fetus (its twin) in the womb.
