Chelsea and Super Eagles midfielder Mikel Obi could not make the first 11 in African, but Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho and Arsenal striker Alex Iwobi were included in the reserve list.









Mikel Obi's lack of playing time this season at Chelsea and also the Super Eagles inability to qualify for the 2017 African Cup of Nations Championship must have been looked into by CAF officials before announcing their best African 11 players for 2016.
