Iwobi loses Arsenal Player of the Month award to Sanchez

Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez has beaten Nigeria's Alex Iwobi and England's Theo Walcott to the September edition of Arsenal Player of the month gong.
Iwobi who was on target twice in the Super Eagles' win over NPFL side Plateau United in a warm up friendly ahead of Sunday's World Cup qualifiers against Zambia was in third place with 18.4 per cent of the votes cast.

Despite not getting on the score sheet for the Gunners during the month in review, the Nigerian international's contribution of two assists for Wenge's men saw them secure three wins and one draw in September.

Sanchez has been rewarded for his stellar September by being named as the latest Vitality Player of the Month voted for by the Gunners' fans.
Alexis won 39.4 per cent of the votes cast, with the impressive Theo Walcott - who also scored four times in September - in second place.
The Chile international scored four times in five games, including a vital equaliser at Paris Saint-Germain, a brace at Hull and the opener against Chelsea.
