The New Jersey Devil is one of America’s most famous cryptids, and an astoundingly long-lived one at that – some of the best-known sightings of the Devil date back to 1909.
Now, though, we have new and possibly definitive proof of the Jersey Devil’s existence, at least according to one resident of the state.
Dave Black, of Little Egg Harbor township, wrote into NJ.com with his Tuesday night account of the sighting:
“I was just driving past the golf course in Galloway on Route 9 and had to shake my head a few times when I thought I saw a llama,” he explained in an email.
“If that wasn’t enough, then it spread out leathery wings and flew off over the golf course.” (Black’s cell phone picture of the creature is at the top of the page.)
“I swear it’s not Photoshopped or a staged thing,” Black elaborated. “People have said it’s fake, but it’s not. I’m honestly just looking for an explanation for what I saw.”Speaking of “staged things,” here’s another video of the Jersey Devil, courtesy of NJ.com.
