WOW!! Chelsea defeats Bremen 4-2 in Germany

Moses-needs-to-convince

Chelsea finished their pre-season with an away match in Germany and they hammered Werder Bremen 3-2.
Eden Hazard, Oscar scored 3 goals in the first half and one on the dot of half-time, Diego Costa got his first goal in pre-season, though his future is still shrouded in mystery. Bremen got their goal through a penalty kick when Nemanja Matic brought down a Bremen attacker.

From First Half
Chelsea FC started the better of the sides but their first goal was from a corner kick routine as Oscar freed Hazard on the edge of the box and his low shot beat Felix Wiedwald in goal for Bremen. The second goal was a peach as Oscar exchanged passes with Costa before he slotted past Wiedwald. That was in the first 10 minutes of the game.
Former Chelsea striker, Claudio Pizzaro pulled one back from the penalty spot after Matic was adjudged to have brought down Zlatko Junuzovic in the box.
Chelsea went two goals up again on the dot of half time as Hazard freed Costa on goal – though it looked marginally offside but the Spanish striker finished well.

And The Second Half
Chelsea were again in control and should have extended their lead through Costa who went one-on-one with the goalkeeper but he ran out of pitch. But Oscar should have put the Blues further ahead when Cesc Fabregas, who had come on as a substitute, had the freedom of the Bremen box but he took too much time and Wiedwald made a good save.
Bremen got their second of the afternoon as Lennard Thy beat Thibaut Courtois from the edge of the box.
After that Antonio Conte made three substitutions; Victor Moses, Michy Batshuayi and Pedro Rodriguez came on for Willian, Costa and Hazard respectively.
There was some concerns for John Terry as he stayed down in Bremen’s penalty box after a clash with Max Kruse. He was substituted by Michael Hector as Conte decided to rest his captain, who had played almost all the minutes in pre-season. Pedro wrapped up the scoring with a neat finish from the edge of the box.
There were good things but the centre of the defence still looks soft and would need more work before they play West Ham next Monday at Stamford Bridge.
