In a turn of shocking events, very pretty and charismatic beauty queen — Maria Jose Alvarado, Miss Honduras, 19, and her sister, 23-year-old Sofia Trinidad, were found dead after being declared missing last Thursday. Alvarado was supposed to represent her country in the Miss World 2014 pageant in London, which commences on November 20th and end with the grand final on December 14th. The pair were last seen leaving a party in the Santa Barbera area, in a car without a licence plate, Guardian reported. Their bodies were found in Cablotales village, near the River Aguagua. Police authorities are questioning Alvarado’s boyfriend, Plutarco Ruiz, and four others over the disappearance. Honduras reportedly has one of the world’s highest homicide rates, with 90.4 people murdered per 100,000 of the population.
